Stephen Edward Faycheck

Stephen Edward Faycheck, age 64, of Marbury, MD, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017, at the University of Maryland Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. Steve was born August 3, 1952 in Washington DC and was raised in Forestview, MD.

Steve attended Suitland High Scholl and went on to work at Trailways after graduating. He then became a moving man until graduating from Lincoln Tech in Heating and Air Conditioning, where he was a maintenance engineer for apartment complexes, until retiring in the late 90's.

Steve loved writing poems, playing chess, cards and board games with his nieces and nephews. While growing up, he enjoyed riding bikes, going to the beach and hanging out with his many friends. Steve loved to listen to music, books on tape and talk shows. He also loved talking to his family and friends every day.

Steve is survived by his sister, Jenny Boswell (Sam); brother-in-law, John Buck; nieces, Amanda Michael (Aaron), Melissa Boswell, Michelle Buck, Lauren Trilli (Justin); nephews, Christopher Buck, Jason Boswell (Kristen); seven grand nieces and nephews, Daphne, Jacob and John Boswell, Austin and Brayden Michael, Carter and Landon Trilli; aunts, Mary Ellen Shields, and Cheryl Faycheck, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Katherine Lewis Faycheck, who were formally from Erie; and his sister, Diane Buck.

A Memorial Service was held at the Indian Head United Methodist Church, in Indian Head Maryland on Saturday, April 29th, followed by a luncheon at the church. Interment will be held graveside at St. Gregory Cemetery, North East, PA on Friday, July 14th, at 1:30 pm. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.

About Dusckas

The founder of the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., Constantine "Gus" Dusckas, was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, on July 22, 1915, the son of Greek immigrants. It has been noted that the Dusckas family had a close relationship with the Drake family of oil well fame.
