Beth Joann Berti

Beth Joann Berti, age 66, peacefully joined her loving Savior from home in Lithia, Florida on Friday, February 9, 2018, while surrounded by her family and holding her dog. She was born in Erie on April 11, 1951, daughter of the late Thomas and Doris Yochim.

Beth graduated from Erie Technical Memorial and mainly worked as a pharmacy technician. Other occupations included medical receptionist and department store associate. Over the years, she was active in several churches reading for masses, serving as a Eucharistic minister, and participating in the neighborhood watch. Beth was a loyal supporter of the Cleveland Browns and Indians and any team her children or grandchildren played for. Other interests included spoiling her pets, attending concerts, cooking, bowling, playing cards, and traveling.

Beth had a positive impact on anyone that was lucky enough to know her. She was the coolest big sister you could ever ask for. She was also that mother you never wanted to disappoint even though she practiced unconditional love. You couldn't wait to visit "Grandma Kitty" and knew she would brag about your achievements to anyone that would listen. She always gave more than she received and would help because she enjoyed making people happy.

Beth is finally reunited in heaven with her husband, Lawrence L. Berti, as well as her parents. Her legacy endures through her four sons, Richard Berti, Randy Berti, Lawrence R. Berti, and Michael Berti. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas M. Yochim (Betsy); and had a special bond with two of her grandchildren, Rebecca Berti and Ryan Berti. She is further survived by two great-grandsons , two nephews, and numerous cousins.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday at St. Ann's R.C. Church, 921 East Avenue, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
