L. Jean Clover

L. Jean Clover, age 90, passed away peacefully at Brevillier Village in Harborcreek, PA on Thursday, February 1, 2018, after an extended illness.

Born in Edinboro, PA on June 30, 1927 to Clark and DeLora Webster, Jean was the younger of two children. Her older brother, Dale, preceded her in death in 1988. Jean graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College and pursued a career as an elementary school teacher, retiring from her beloved Wesleyville Elementary.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Gerald "Jerry" T. Clover, Jr.; three children, Cindy Clover (Lee Clark) of Denver, Connie Clover Gibson (Ed) of Denver, Chip Clover (Joan) of Buffalo; seven grandchildren, Christopher Gladden, Jessica Gibson, Kelly Gibson, Valerie Clover Clark, Ryan Clover, Julia Clover Clark, and Hayley Clover; sister-in-law, Donna Webster Rouse; a nephew, Jeff Webster; and a niece, Lynn Piccarillo.

Jean was a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, an avid golfer and member of the Lawrence Park Golf Course, a regular at the Eastside YMCA, and a volunteer at The Shriner's Hospital for Children. She loved travel, birds (especially ducks), her wonderful friends, her far-flung family, and most especially her husband, Jerry.

A Memorial Service and celebration of life will be held at a future date. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at Sarah Reed and at Brevillier Village. Memorial gifts can be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc.

The founder of the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., Constantine "Gus" Dusckas, was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, on July 22, 1915, the son of Greek immigrants. It has been noted that the Dusckas family had a close relationship with the Drake family of oil well fame.
