Domingo Vazquez Batista

Domingo "Mingito" Vazquez Batista, age 64, of Erie, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018. He was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico on October 25, 1953, son of the late Amador Vazquez and Maria Batista.

Domingo was employed by Picardo Farms. He enjoyed fishing, listening to Spanish music, and working on cars.

Domingo is survived by his significant other of 37 years, Kimberly Torrey; one son, Dominic Torrey Vazquez (friend, Domanique Smith); three daughters, Patricia Sprague, Amandalena Vazquez, and Felicita Flores; one sister, Felicita Vazquez; one brother, Santos Vazquez; 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Anderson Batista; two brothers, Heriberto and Amador Vazquez; and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 536 West 10th Street, on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Friday at 10 am conducted by Rev. Michael Ferrick. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.

The founder of the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., Constantine "Gus" Dusckas, was born in Titusville, Pennsylvania, on July 22, 1915, the son of Greek immigrants. It has been noted that the Dusckas family had a close relationship with the Drake family of oil well fame.
