Richard D. Riley
Richard D. Riley, age 61, of Erie, PA, formerly of Holt, MO, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018 at home lovingly surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Plattsburg, MO on June 30, 1957, son of Amos Doyle and Orpha Jean Conley Riley.
Richard graduated from Kearney High in 1975. He worked at the Missouri Department of Transportation for 21 years, serving for several years as a Supervisor of the Kearney and Liberty areas. He was a truck driver for nine years. Richard was a member of the Holt Methodist Church in MO, and South Harborcreek United Methodist Church in Erie.
Richard is survived by his wife, Donna Zimmer Riley; siblings, Ron Riley (Deanna) of Kidder, MO, Jannet Brown, and Rondle "Butch" Riley of Cameron, MO, and Connie Horseman (Van) of Hamilton, MO; two children, Annaliese Elizabeth Riley of Chillicothe, MO, and Emily Laurel Griffin of Independence, MO; two grandchildren, Riley Joseph Shannon and Odus David Grant Griffin of Independence, MO; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Pratt; and nephews, Timothy Scott and Johnny Riley Horseman.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., Erie, on Wednesday from 3 pm until the time of the Funeral Service there at 6 pm, conducted by Pastor Keith McGarvey.
