Paul C. Tirpak
Paul C. Tirpak, age 71, of North East passed away Friday, December 28th, 2018. He was born on June 18, 1947 in Erie, son of the late Charles and Jean Shultz Tirpak.
Paul was a graduate of Technical Memorial High School in 1965. He was a Veteran of the US Army (1966 – 1967) where he proudly served in the Vietnam Conflict and was awarded two medals before his honorable discharge. After the Army, Paul returned to Erie and began a small residential maintenance company that, over the span of 50 years, grew into what is now known as Tirpak Building Maintenance and Stained Glass Restoration. He was a devoted businessman who loved not only his family but also his work family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Lisa Polinek Tirpak; brother in-law, Scott Polinek; his sons, Shane Tirpak (Jeni) and Jeremy Tirpak (Natalia); four grandchildren, Payton, Dylan, Shylie and Macsen; as well as nephew and close friend, John Pacileo; many nieces and nephews; and his first wife, Juanita Fiske Tirpak.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at the VA and the Regional Cancer Center for their care and compassion.
A memorial and celebration of life will be held this summer. Donations in Paul's memory can be made to two organizations that were dear to his and Lisa's hearts; The ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511 or Orphan Angels, 5439 West Lake Road, Erie, PA 16505. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
